Castor’s death

Castor, along with his twin brother Pollux, were named the Dioscuri (Dios-curi: sons of Zeus). He was the son of Zeus and Leda.

According to the legend, Castor died in a battle with the Argonauts, Ida and Lynx, who also were twins. The mural was created on the blind side of an abandoned kindergarten in Plaka, near the cafe “Dioscuri” and was erased by the owner of a nearby neoclassical building, 20 days after its creation.
